About Sanka:
Sanka Perera is a wildlife photographer based in Rockville, Maryland. Originally from Sri Lanka, he immigrated to the U.S. in 2008 with his family and has since embraced a life of exploration and discovery. His photography reflects his deep passion for both travel and wildlife, taking him across the globe and throughout the U.S. — from the savannas of Kenya to the lakes of Minnesota and the natural spaces of Washington, D.C. Sanka especially loves capturing the beauty of birds and finds joy in sharing these moments with others. Through his lens, he hopes to inspire a greater appreciation for the wildlife and places that make our world extraordinary.
